Selected by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for the Clinical Research Infrastructure Building and Promotion Research Project, Keio begins to build the infrastructure needed to conduct high-quality clinical trials and clinical research as a core clinical trial hospital.

The Center for Clinical Research (CCR) established in the School of Medicine.

2009

Selected by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for the General Research Program for the Practical Application of Medical Technology (Clinical Research Infrastructure Building and Promotion Research Project). Keio begins to expand its capabilities as a core clinical research hospital.

Selected by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for the Global Clinical Research Centers Development Project.

2011

Selected by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare for the Project for Early/Exploratory Clinical Trial Center Development project and becomes a center for immunology and intractable disease medicine.

2013

Clinical trial unit launched within Keio University Hospital.

2014

Clinical and Translational Research Center(CTR) established and begins operations at Keio University Hospital .

2015

Keio University Hospital Center for Clinical Research (CCR) dismantled.

Reorganized departments and units of the Clinical and Translational Research Center(CTR).

2016

Accredited as one of Japan's core clinical research hospitals based on the Medical Care Act.

Certified by the Ethical Review Board of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
